Did you even watch that entire video? If not, you need to watch the entire thing to see the the full effect. Specifically, the parts past the 5 minute mark. It makes it even worse knowing that the two kids are his little brother and sister.

Melty, if I had to hazard a guess, I would say that he's intentionally ignoring it so that he doesn't have to acknowledge it. Basically, covering his eyes, going "LALALALALA" and using that as an excuse to say he's the winner.
