Rivals aren't always your friends. Look at Green and Silver. They don't call you friends. It's only since the Advance that the rivals are "friends".

It's been a trend long enough that I think it's safe to assume that you'll have a rival-friend, but that's just me.

Green was a childhood friend of Red apparently.

Not really. Rivals yes, but not really friends. I mean, of course Oak is going to think they're friends. He's oblivious to anything actually going on. Heck, he can't even remember the name of his own grandchild.

That's ok, the first time I read it, I so totally pulled a "Blue" moment. I actually thought they WERE talking about Giovanni, not Green.

I should have been reading that left-to-right, but I've been reading too much manga...

Its natural for me to read right to left. I can understand and read some japanese at a basic level so I'm use to it.

I'm just used to reading manga in general so it wasn't hard for me.

Me too.

Manga and doujins both usually read right to left, so I am very used to reading that way.

Wow I just beat Blue's rematch team. His guys were levels 68+ while my guys were in the high 50s. It was an epic battle.

Red was fun. I had three level 100's on my Heart Gold team, and he still trashed them. I was so excited. I haven't done the Updated Elite Four yet, though, or the Gym Leader Rematches. The only Gym Leader's number that I have is Morty, and that's only in Soul Silver because I just happened to be at the right place, at the right time.

Doujins can be a bitch sometimes though. Like some start with you reading right-to-left and then suddenly they go, "lol I read left-to-right now!" and it confuses the hell out of me. It will sometimes switch back and forth several times in one doujin as well.

Red is too epic to fight. I love how he doesn't say anything and he disappears like as if he "blacked out" from the original pokemon games.

I'm going to use a weather mod in HeartGold to make it rain like it should for Red.

Give him his Espeon as well, and boost all his levels so his Pikachu is level 100, Snorlax and Espeon are level 97, and everyone else is level 95

Then alter their attacks to be competitive, and throw in the right items and natures as well

Then give them 31 in all IVs and the right EVs in each stat



Then record you getting slaughtered by him
